Hosting Construction Site Tours

Nikkenren Parent-Child Construction Site Tour "Kensetsu Explorers 2024"

During a parent-child site tour hosted by the Japan Federation of Construction Contractors (Nikkenren), 28 participants from 12 families, who were chosen by random selection, were given a rare opportunity to visit two of our major construction sites: the Kitakyushu Hibikinada Offshore Wind Power Project and the Kitakyushu Port Quay Construction Project. As part of the site tour, attendees boarded a tender boat to observe marine construction work at close range; an experience that highlighted the immense scale of the construction industry. The event proved to be deeply enriching for all participants, as evidenced by their post-event feedback, including "I was amazed to see the hull (of the offshore installation vessel) afloat on the sea," and "My time in the tour made me want to work in construction in the future."

Construction Site Tour "Construction Machines Adventure"

At the site for development of a new waste treatment facility in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture, we organized "Construction Machines Adventure" four times for local children, welcoming over 200 young enthusiasts. The event featured presentations of the construction process, including an overview of the new waste treatment facility, along with introductions to various heavy vehicles. To make the experience more engaging, we also provided hands-on opportunities for children to directly touch and play with the vehicles. The event gave them a valuable chance to discover the excitement and importance of the construction industry. We remain committed to sharing the appeal of the industry with future generations.

Construction Site Tour for Local High-School Students

To foster greater awareness and understanding of construction projects and technologies in Ehime Prefecture, we organized a site visit to a hospital construction project currently underway. The visit was arranged for students from a local technical high school, with twenty-three majoring in architecture majors participating. During the tour, they gained firsthand insight into the construction process and explored the dynamic nature of the industry. One student reflected, "The experience added real-world perspective to my interest in architecture."
