Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd.

Tokyo, Japan - Nov. 06, 2025 - Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. (President Takuzo Shimizu) is pleased to announce that we held strike steel ceremonies to mark the official start of fabrication work on two distinct offshore wind construction vessels; a Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) with a 5,000-ton main crane, and a Cable Laying Vessel (CLV) carrying cable tanks with a total capacity of 10, 000 tons.

The strike steel ceremony for the HLV was held on September 29, 2025, at a shipyard in Nantong, China, operated by Seatrium Limited (Singapore). A second ceremony was also held on October 1, 2025, at the Seatrium shipyard in Subic, the Philippines, reflecting the division of shipbuilding work between the two sites. Design and construction of the vessel are making solid headway. Hull construction and outfitting work will continue at Seatrium shipyards in Nantong and Subic. Subsequently, hull integration, crane installation, and other works will be carried out at their shipyard in Singapore. Completion and delivery are scheduled for May 2028.

The strike steel ceremony for the CLV took place on October 29, 2025, at a shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, operated by PaxOcean Group (Singapore). Design and construction of this vessel are also proceeding steadily and on schedule. Hull construction and outfitting work, including cable-laying equipment, will continue at the Batam shipyard, with completion and delivery scheduled for February 2028.
