Signing the United Nations Global Compact

Tokyo, Japan - Dec. 27, 2022 - Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. (President, Takuzo Shimizu, hereinafter POC) has signed a statement of support for the United Nations Global Compact (hereinafter UNGC) proposed by the United Nations, and has been registered as a participating company as of December 21, 2022.


UNGC is the world’s largest sustainability initiative designed to help the United Nations and the private sector (businesses and organizations) to join hands and build a healthy global society. It is a voluntary initiative under which each participating company or organization should exercise leadership responsibly, act as a good member of society and thereby achieve sustainable growth.


By sincerely addressing various sustainability issues, and by striving to achieve the SDGs from an ESG perspective in our business activities, POC group will contribute to the sustainable development of society as a genuine global general contractor with strengths in port, coastal and waterfront areas as well as overseas.


The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact

Human rights

make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
