Shiplifts and Transfer Systems
Shiplifts and Transfer Systems
A Shiplift system is a large elevator which raises and lowers vessels or concrete caissons in and out of the water for dry-docking operations. The system consists of a platform on which the vessel is moved vertically, hoists powered by synchronous electric motors, bogies to horizontally transfer the vessel, and the piled pier on which the equipment is supported.
Eliminating risks of damaging vessels during transfer
By adapting synchronous electric motors for the hoists, uneven loading can be avoided while raising or lowering the vessel, minimizing the risk of hull or equipment damage during the procedure.
Optimization shipbuilding and maintenance operations
Shiplift can simultaneously cope with various shipbuilding and maintenance operations by laying the rails in a lattice-like pattern on the shipyard to transfer ships in all directions.
