SGM® (Super Geo Material) Lightweight Treated Soil Method

photo1

This method is used to produce this very light foundation or back-filling material by recycling dredged material or surplus soil from construction work as a source soil, mixed with water, air foam or EPS (expanded polystyrol) beads and other cementing compounds. The unit weight of SGM® is 8-13 kN/m3 and can be effectively used to reduce the amount of consolidation settlement by properly controlling the density and strength of the material. Owing to its fluidity, SGM® can also be used as a self-compacting material.

Recycling dredged and surplus soils

Dredged and surplus soils of high water content ratio can be used effectively as source soils.

Facilitate to upgrade existing structures

Owing to its lightweight properties, SGM® reduces pressure against wall structures, making them more resistant to seismic forces.

Minimized impact on adjacent buildings

SGM® also minimizes pressure on adjacent banking or structures.
