POCM-12 (Deep Cement Mixing Vessel)

photo1

POCM-12 is a newly developed vessel for mixing cement at deep underwater levels. This technology is a joining of long-established know-how and state-of-the-art technologies held by Penta-Ocean, and incorporates four soil-mixing units attached to the bow of the vessel, which rotate into the seabed, mix cement slurry with soft soil in-situ, creating rigid soil-cement columns.
The POCM-12 is an echo-ship employing safer and more environment-friendly design and technology than conventional underwater soil improvement vessels. It is used in large-scale maritime construction projects.

Incorporating advanced, automated control system technologies

This integrated control system consists of an automatic vessel positioning system and automatic execution management system, making it possible for one individual to operate the POCM-12.

Environment-friendly vessel

Warning systems, LED lamps, and other electric devices are powered by solar cells or wind powered systems. Electricity is also provided by regeneration systems.

Fusion of long-established know-how and state-of-the-art technologies

Making the best use of its know-how and original technology supporting the design and function of advanced underwater soil improvement vessels, Penta-Ocean continues to evolve other technologies, such as its low-maintenance soil mixing rods and wires, and its automatic detecting system, to improve safety, efficiency, and economy.
