Narrow Multi-Beam Echo Sounder System

This system uses narrow, multi-beam sonar by transferring a sharply directional echo sounding against the seabed in a fan shape, reflecting off the seabed in an area up to seven-times as wide as the water depth in each traverse line. Data obtained are analyzed by specially designed post-processing software to develop a bathymetric map, bird’s-eye view, or cross-sectional representation and then directly relayed to construction operators.

Improvement of efficiency of surveys

The number of surveys necessary for any particular operation can be reduced owing to the large area that can be surveyed in each survey line.

Output available for various needs

Data forming the profile of the seabed can be comprehensively and densely obtained, so various forms of output such as bathymetric maps, bird’s-eye views, or cross-sectionals can be generated.

Highly accurate survey

INS(Inertial Navigation System) mounted on the survey boat provides highly accurate measurement not subject to motion of the vessel.
