CP-4501 is a dual-purpose barge that can be alternatively used either as a crane or for pile driving. Vessel posture and piling operations are monitored and controlled from the Control Room situated at the bow of the barge, increasing efficiency and safety. Since the CP-4501 is equipped with vertical steel shafts, it can be safely held in place and efficiently operated even where the working area is narrow and restricted, or is subject to strong tidal currents. Since the maximum height above the surface of the sea during towing the barge is less than 25 meter, it can pass under narrow bridges with adequate clearance.

Wide working raged and efficient operation

Taking advantage of the hoisting boom rotating horizontally in full circle, operations can be completed in a quick and efficient manner. Moreover, since wide working space is provided on the deck, operations such as hoisting, dismantling, or transporting can be carried out. Owing to the support of the vertical steel shafts, the barge’s secure mooring can be facilitated.

Highly versatile piling operations

The leader can be equipped with both hammer and auger simultaneously. The specially designed leader head allows the pile to pass through it so that longer piles can be driven, and by adapting a 3-step hydraulic telescopic Catch-Fork, the maximum angle of batter piles installable is an accommodating plus-minus 25 degrees.

Rapid guiding for pile positioning

The barge’s GPS navigation system allows it to readily move from one designed position to another. Owing to the automatic ballast adjusting system, the setting of piling positions is also easily carried out. This data is managed in the Control Room of the barge, so the highly accurate performance can be achieved.
